Moradabad is an industrial city, police commissionerate, and municipal corporation located in the Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh, India. Situated on the banks of the Ramganga river, it is positioned approximately 165 km from New Delhi and 356 km northwest of Lucknow.
The city serves as a significant hub for employment, education, industry, culture, and administration within the Western Uttar Pradesh region. According to the 2011 census, Moradabad ranked as the tenth most populous city in the state of Uttar Pradesh and the 54th most populous city in India.
