Kanpur Cantonment is a military cantonment located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. Established in 1811, it is situated on the right bank of the Ganges River and is bordered by the Kanpur city area on its remaining three sides.
The cantonment covers approximately 4243.0084 acres (17 km2), which is divided into a Bungalow Area of 3899.1784 acres and a Civil Area of 334.83 acres. It is recognized as the largest cantonment in India by population rather than by land area.
According to the 2011 Census, Kanpur Cantonment has a population of 108,035, making it the 453rd largest city in India.
