Kairana is a city and municipal board located in the Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated approximately 14 km (8.7 mi) from the city of Shamli.
The name Kairana is also associated with the Kirana gharana, which is a prominent school or lineage within Hindustani classical music.
