Jhusi, also known as Jhunsi, is a town located in the Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh, India. Historically, the location was referred to by the names Pratishthanpur or Puri.
The site is significant for its archaeological importance as one of the Neolithic sites providing some of the earliest evidence of farming in South Asia. Additionally, Jhusi plays a notable role in the annual Magh Mela festival, which occurs during the month of Magha in the Hindu calendar.
