Charkhari is a city located in the Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh, India. It serves as the headquarters for the Charkhari tehsil and holds its own seat in the Legislative Assembly.
The city was historically significant as the capital of the Charkhari concession. This state was established in 1765 by Bijai Bahadur, a Rajput belonging to the Bundela clan.
