Behat is an ancient town located in the Saharanpur district on the northernmost tip of northwestern Uttar Pradesh, India. It serves as a nagar panchayat and is situated along NH-709B on the banks of the Eastern Yamuna Canal. The town sits at an average elevation of 345 meters above sea level.
The location is approximately 30 km north of Saharanpur, 190 km from New Delhi, and 77 km from Haridwar. Behat is recognized for its production of various goods, including fruits such as mangoes, guavas, and moorhas, as well as brass bells and wrought iron handicrafts. It is also home to the Mata Shakumbari Devi Temple.
