Narwar is a historic town and nagar parishad located in the Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh, India. Situated approximately 42 km from Shivpuri, it was historically known as Narwar District during the era of the Gwalior State and appears as Nalpura in various medieval Sanskrit inscriptions.
The town is notable for the Narwar Fort, which is positioned just east of the Kali Sindh River. The fort is currently undergoing renovation by the Archaeological Survey of India. The surrounding area also features three dams: Harsi Dam, Mohini Sagar, and Madikheda dam.
