Mahidpur City is a municipality and city located in the Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh, India. Situated within the Malwa region, the modern town is positioned on the banks of the Shipra River near the city of Ujjain.
The city was founded by Raja Maheda Singh Jhala, from whom it derives its name. Currently, Mahidpur serves as a tehsil place within the Ujjain district.
