Chanderi is a town of historical importance located in the Ashoknagar District of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is situated southwest of the Betwa River and is surrounded by hills, lakes, and forests. The town's geographic location places it approximately 57 km from Ashok Nagar, 38 km from Lalitpur, and 46 km from Isagarh.
The area is characterized by various monuments belonging to the Malwa Sultanate and the Bundela Rajputs. Additionally, Chanderi is well-known for its ancient Jain temples. As of the 2011 census, the town had a population of 33,190.
