Baroda

Vadodara, commonly known as Baroda, is a city located in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is situated on the banks of the Vishwamitri River and serves as the administrative headquarters for the Vadodara district.

The city derives its name from the abundance of banyan trees, known locally as vad, found within the area. It is also recognized by the local titles of Sanskrutik Nagari and Kala Nagari of India.
