Hajipur is the headquarters and largest city of the Vaishali district, located in the state of Bihar, India. It currently ranks as the 16th most populous city in Bihar, with a recorded population of 1.47 lakh according to the 2011 census.
The city is recognized as one of the fastest-developing urban centers in the state, ranking second only to Patna. Additionally, its parent district, Vaishali, is ranked eighth among Bihar's 38 districts in terms of overall growth.
