Arrah is a city and municipal corporation located in the Indian state of Bihar. It serves as the administrative headquarters for the Bhojpur district and is situated near the confluence of the Ganges and Sone rivers.
The city is positioned approximately 24 miles (39 km) from Danapur and 36 miles (58 km) from Patna. During the period of the British Raj, Arrah functioned as the administrative headquarters and was recognized as the most populous urban center of the historical Shahabad district.
