Bicholim is a small town and municipal council situated in the North Goa district of the Indian state of Goa. Located approximately 30 km (19 mi) from the state capital of Panaji, it serves as the headquarters for the Concelho of Bicholim.
The town is one of seven counties that comprise the Novas Conquistas, which are territories added to Goa later than the original Velhas Conquistas. Geographically and economically, Bicholim is recognized as being situated within the mining heartland of Goa.
