Lalgola

Lalgola is a census town located in the Lalgola CD block within the Lalbag subdivision of the Murshidabad district in West Bengal, India. The town is situated approximately 225 kilometres (140 mi) north of Kolkata, positioned near the head of the Ganges delta.

The area serves as a terminal railway station on the Ranaghat-Lalgola branch line. Notably, the distance between Lalgola railway station and Krishnapur railway station is one of the shortest distances between two railway stations in India, measuring only 1.7 km. Additionally, while it functions as a border checkpoint, it is presently non-functional.
