Goyerkata

Gairkata is a census town situated in the Dhupguri subdivision of the Jalpaiguri district in the state of West Bengal, India. It serves as a local center within the region and is notable for its industrial activity, with Telipara serving as the area's primary industrial hub.

The town is recognized as the birthplace of several prominent figures, including the Bengali writer Samaresh Majumdar, journalist and poet Bikash Sarkar, and CPI leader Samar Ganguly. Notable landmarks in Gairkata include the Gosaihat Eco-Park, and the area has also been home to the non-governmental organization Aaranyak.
