Gangarampur is a city and municipality located in the Dakshin Dinajpur district of West Bengal, India. Situated on the banks of the Punarbhaba River, it serves as a significant urban center within the region.
The city became a subdivision of the newly formed Dakshin Dinajpur district following the bifurcation of Paschim Dinajpur in 1992. It is connected to other regions via National Highway 512 and historically served as one of the Khalji capitals under Muhammad Khalji.
