Barrackpore, also spelled as Barrackpur, is a city and municipality located in the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, India. It serves as the headquarters for the Barrackpore subdivision.
The city falls within the area covered by the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA). It is situated in the state of West Bengal near the metropolitan region of Kolkata.
