Baharampur, also known as Berhampore, is a city and municipality located in the state of West Bengal, India. It serves as the administrative headquarters for the Murshidabad district.
The city is situated approximately 186 km (116 mi) from Kolkata, which is the capital of West Bengal. According to the 2011 census, Baharampur ranked as the seventh largest city in the state.
