Valasaravakkam is a residential suburb and neighborhood located in the Chennai district of Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated in the Maduravoyal Taluk at a distance of approximately 15 kilometres from the Kilometer Zero stone. The area lies along Arcot Road, which serves as one of the arterial roads for the city of Chennai.
The neighborhood falls under the Maduravoyal election constituency. In October 2011, the Valasaravakkam Municipality was dissolved, and the area was integrated into the Chennai Corporation as Ward Nos 149 and 152 in the Southern Region. As of 2011, the town had a recorded population of 47,378. A notable landmark in the vicinity is a famous Sivan temple located in Kesavardhini.
