Tiruppur, also spelled Tirupur, is a city and municipal corporation located in the western region of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Situated on the banks of the Noyyal River, it serves as the administrative capital of the Tiruppur district.
The city is currently ranked as the fourth largest city in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is governed and administered by the Tiruppur Municipal Corporation.
