Sathyamangalam is a town and municipality located in the Erode district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It serves as the headquarters for the Sathyamangalam taluk and is situated approximately 65 km (40 mi) from the district headquarters, Erode.
The town is positioned on the banks of the Bhavani River, which is a tributary of the Kaveri river that straddles the Eastern and Western Ghats. As of the 2011 census, Sathyamangalam had a recorded population of 37,816.
