Rasipuram

Rasipuram is a municipality located in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It serves as a suburb of the city of Salem and functions as the headquarters for the Rasipuram taluk within the Namakkal District.

As of 2015, the town covered an area of 24 km² (9.3 sq mi) with a population of 88,584. The municipality is divided into 27 wards, with plans in place to increase this number to 33. Rasipuram is primarily recognized for its production of ghee and tapioca sago.
