Perambalur is a Selection Grade Municipality located in the heart of Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated approximately 267 kilometers south of Chennai, the state capital.
The district covers an area of 1,757 square kilometers and is positioned between 10.54' and 11.30' degrees of Northern latitude and 78.40' and 79.30' degrees of Eastern longitude. As an inland district, it possesses no coastal lines.
