Komarapalayam, also known as Kumarapalayam, is a municipality and prominent textile town located in the Namakkal District of Tamil Nadu, India. The town is situated on the banks of the Kaveri and Bhavani rivers.
The settlement is characterized by its significant textile industries. It serves as one of the twin cities to Bhavani; while they are separated by the Cauvery river, Komarapalayam is located in Namakkal District whereas Bhavani belongs to the Erode district. As of the 2011 census, the town had a population of 71,594.
