Kangeyam is a town and municipality located in the Kangeyam taluk of the Tiruppur district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is situated along National Highway 81, approximately 28 km (17 mi) from the district headquarters of Tiruppur.
The local economy is primarily dependent on agriculture and related activities, including the extraction of ghee, coconut oil, and rice hulling. The area is also notable for being the indigenous home of the Kangayam cattle, a specific breed of cattle native to the region.
