Jalakandapuram is a panchayat town located in the Mettur taluk of the Salem district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is one of the 31 panchayat towns situated within the district.
The town covers a total area of approximately 4.66 km2 (1.80 sq mi). As of 2024, Jalakandapuram has a population of roughly 22,800 people.
