Devakottai

Devakottai is a town located in the Sivaganga district of Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated near Karaikudi and lies close to the Rameswaram National Highway Road (NH-210).

The town is a significant part of the Chettinad region, which is renowned for its rich heritage of traditional houses constructed from limestone, known as "Karai Veedu." Additionally, Devakottai is notable for housing the ancient Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar temple, also referred to as Nagara Sivan Kovil.
