Cuddalore, also spelled as Kadalur, is a prominent port city and heavy industries hub located in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It serves as the headquarters for the Cuddalore District and is situated approximately 5.3 km south of Puducherry.
Historically, the city was recognized as an important port during the British Raj. Today, it remains a significant industrial center within the region.
