Chinnalapatti is a town panchayat city located in the Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu, India. It serves as the largest town panchayat city within the district and has an estimated population of approximately 42,000, with a registered voter count of around 29,000. In 2021, most of its wards were merged to accommodate a total of 18 wards.
The city is primarily recognized for its production of handloom sarees and garments. Geographically, Chinnalapatti is situated adjacent to the Sirumalai hills, an area characterized by extensive grape farmlands.
