Chetput

Chetpet is a neighborhood located in the Indian city of Chennai. It is situated approximately 4.0 kilometres from the city's kilometre zero point and is served by the Chetpet railway station on the Beach–Tambaram line of the Chennai Suburban Railway.

The locality features a pond situated between the Chetpet railway station and Poonamallee High Road, which is noted as one of the last remaining natural water bodies in the city. Additionally, Chetpet is recognized as the specific area in Chennai where the mathematician Ramanujan died.
