Chengalpattu, formerly known as Chingleput or Chengalpet, is a town located in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It serves as the headquarters for the Chengalpattu district and is situated within the Chennai metropolitan area.
The town is positioned approximately 56 kilometres (35 miles) from the state capital of Chennai along National Highway 45. It is notably located near an industrial and IT hub.
