Suratgarh is a city, tehsil, and municipality located in the Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan, India. Situated approximately 77 km south of the district headquarters near the city of Sri Ganganagar, it serves as the largest of the district's seven tehsils. The city was founded by Maharaja Surat Singh.
The region is widely recognized as the "Cotton city" and the "Bowl of grain" of Rajasthan because of its high production levels of cotton and wheat. Hindi, Bagri, and Rajasthani are the primary languages spoken by the local population.
