Pushkar is an ancient temple town located in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It serves as the headquarters of the Pushkar tehsil within the Ajmer district and is situated on the shore of Pushkar Lake.
The town is positioned approximately 10 km northwest of Ajmer City and about 150 km southwest of Jaipur. It lies at an elevation of roughly 510 metres and is surrounded by hills on three sides, with Nag Pahar serving as a natural boundary between the town and Ajmer.
