Mundwa, also known as Marwar Mundwa, is a city and municipality located in the Nagaur district of the Indian state of Rajasthan. It serves as a tehsil within the district and is situated approximately 20 km south of the district headquarters, Nagaur, and 231 km east of the state capital, Jaipur.
The region is characterized by a multilingual environment where residents speak Marwari, Hindi, English, Urdu, and Rajasthani. Historically, Mundwa served as a constituency for the Rajasthan Assembly until it was changed to Khinvsar for political reasons. The area is currently recognized as a pilgrimage center for the shrine of the Sufi Haz Jana Sahid and is well-known for its numerous temples.
