Dhaulpur

Dholpur is a city located in the Dholpur district of Rajasthan state, India. It serves as the administrative headquarters for the district and is situated on the left bank of the Chambal river.

The city was established in 1004 AD by King Dhaval Dev of the Tomar dynasty of Delhi under the original name Dhavalpuri. Over time, the name was changed to its current designation, Dholpur.
