Behror is a city located in the Kotputli-Behror district of Rajasthan, within the Jaipur division of India. It serves as the administrative headquarters for the Behror tehsil and shares the district headquarters with the town of Kotputli. The city is situated approximately 120 km southwest of New Delhi and is positioned equidistant from both the state capital, Jaipur, and the national capital.
As part of the National Capital Region (NCR), Behror is regulated by the National Capital Region Planning Board for urban planning purposes. It is a primary component of the SNB Complex (Shahjahanpur-Neemrana-Behror), which encompasses 137 revenue villages where the Behror municipality represents the largest urban conglomeration. The surrounding area, often referred to as the Ahirwal region or Raath, serves as an important industrial hub for the state of Rajasthan.
The Behror municipality covers an area of 15 km2 and is divided into four specific revenue villages: Behror tarf Gangabishan, Behror tarf Doongrasi, Behror tarf Nainsukh, and Behror tarf Balram.
