Begun is a city and municipality located in the Chittaurgarh district of Rajasthan, India. It is recognized as one of the historic settlements within the region and is situated along the banks of the Brahmani River, which is considered one of the important rivers of Mewar.
The town's history is linked to the 15th century when it was offered to Chunda ji, who subsequently renounced his right to the throne for his brother Rana Mokal. Following this event, Begun came under the rule of the Chundawat Sisodia Rajputs of Mewar. The city features a fort that is surrounded by a small river.
