Talwara

Talwara is a city located in the Hoshiarpur district of Punjab, India. It is situated approximately 58 km from the city of Hoshiarpur and lies on the border of the state of Himachal Pradesh.

The city developed primarily during the construction of the Pong Dam in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh due to its close proximity to the site. It is situated along the banks of the Pong Left Main Canal, which is known locally as Shah Neher.

Talwara is organized into four sectors and features a main market that serves the daily needs of the local population.
