Patiala

Patiala is a city situated in southeastern Punjab, northwestern India. It serves as the administrative capital of the Patiala district and ranks as the fourth largest city within the state of Punjab.

The city is centered around the Qila Mubarak, a fort constructed by chieftain Ala Singh. The city derives its name from the royal dynasty of Patiala State, which was founded by Ala Singh in 1763.
