Pathankot

Pathankot is a city and the district headquarters of the Pathankot district in the state of Punjab, India. It serves as the sixth most populous city in the region, following Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Patiala, and Bathinda. The city's local government is organized as a municipal corporation.

Located in the northernmost part of Punjab, Pathankot is situated in close proximity to the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. Due to this geographic location, it is commonly referred to as the Gateway to Himachal.
