Firozpur

Firozpur, also known as Ferozepur, is a city located in the Firozpur District of Punjab, India. It is situated on the banks of the Sutlej River.

Following the Partition of India in 1947, the city became a border town situated along the India–Pakistan border. It features memorials dedicated to soldiers who died fighting for India and is home to the Firozpur Cantonment, which serves as a major cantonment in the country.
