Bathinda is a city and municipal corporation located in the Malwa region of northwestern India. It serves as the administrative headquarters for the Bathinda district within the state of Punjab.
Situated approximately 227 km (141 mi) west of Chandigarh, it is the fifth largest city in Punjab. The city is also recognized as the second cleanest city in the state, following Mohali.
