Abohar is a city and municipal corporation located in the Fazilka district of Punjab, India. It is situated southeast of Fazilka and lies in close proximity to the India–Pakistan border. According to the 2011 Census of India, the city had a population of 145,302.
The region is primarily recognized for its significant agricultural output, specifically kinnow production. The Abohar belt alone accounts for up to 60% of the total kinnow output in the state of Punjab. Geographically, the city is located approximately 156–157 km from Lahore, Pakistan, which lies to the west-northwest.
