Karaikal

Karaikal is a port city located in the Indian Union Territory of Puducherry. It serves as the administrative headquarters for the Karaikal District and holds the status of the second most populated town within the Union Territory, following Pondicherry.

Geographically situated on the Coromandel Coast along the Bay of Bengal in South India, the city is positioned at the center of a coastal enclave. This area is entirely surrounded by the state of Tamil Nadu and its associated Cauvery delta districts.
