Sundargarh is a town located in the Sundergarh district of the Indian state of Odisha. According to the 2011 census, the municipality had a recorded population of 45,036 residents.
The area is recognized as an industrial district within Odisha, hosting various factories and plants for steel, fertilizer, cement, ferrovanadium, machine-building, glass, china-clay, and spinning mills. Additionally, Sundargarh holds a prominent position on the mineral map of the state due to its rich deposits of iron ore, limestone, and manganese.
