Angul is a city, municipality, and the headquarters of the Angul district located in the state of Odisha, India. The region covers a total area of 6,232 km² and sits at an average elevation of 195 meters (640 feet) above sea level.
The city is notably home to the Angul steel plant, which is operated by Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL). This facility serves as a major integrated steel site and is recognized as the largest steel plant in India.
