Wokha is a town and municipality located in the Indian state of Nagaland. It serves as the headquarters for the Wokha District and is situated approximately 75 km north of Kohima, which is the state capital.
The name Wokha translates to "head count" or "census" in the Lotha language. The town has a population of 35,004 and is predominantly inhabited by the Lotha Nagas.
