Yelahanka

Yelahanka is an area located in North Bangalore and serves as a Taluk within the Bangalore Urban district of Karnataka, India. It falls under the jurisdiction of the Bangalore North City Corporation.

As the northernmost end of the city, Yelahanka is recognized as the oldest part of present-day Municipal Bengaluru. The foundation of the modern city was established in 1537 CE by Nadaprabhu Kempegowda I of the Yelahanka Prabhu clans through the creation of a "mud fort town."
