Tiptur, also known as Thipatooru, is a city located in the southern part of the state of Karnataka, India. It serves as one of the three sub-divisional headquarters within the Tumakuru district and is situated approximately 140 km from the capital city of Bengaluru.
The city is recognized as the second largest and fastest growing urban center in the Tumkur District. It is notably known for its extensive coconut plantations.
