Lakshmeshwara is a town and a newly created Taluk located in the Gadag district of Karnataka, India. It is situated approximately 40 km from Gadag and 55 km from Hubli. The area serves as an agricultural trading town.
Historically, Lakshmeshwara was an important center for Jainism and served as a capital under the Badami Chalukyas and subsequent dynasties.
